Account Executive Trainee
Why Work Here?
OPPORTUNITY, OPPORTUNITY, OPPORTUNITY! And TRUE Uncapped Earning Potential.
With other brokerage firms your biggest competition is within your own company. While there are many accounts to be found, when you are competing with 50-1000 other brokers in your own company, the pool of accounts suddenly becomes a lot smaller. Not so at Road Dog. Because of our size, there is plenty of opportunity. What you do with that opportunity is up to you.
About the Opportunity
This is a tremendous opportunity if you are just beginning your career, or you are looking to start a second career. Experience is always preferred, but not required. 95% of college graduates are highly successful and can earn over $100k in commission after two years if they put the work in. Regardless of your experience level, we will teach you everything you need to know to succeed.
What is a freight broker?
In layman terms, a freight broker is an individual or company that serves as a middleman between a company that needs shipping services and a truck that needs cargo to haul. So, one party needs a truck and the other needs cargo. We put the two together to move the cargo from point A to point B, and earn a profit in the process.
The beauty of this industry is companies are constantly replenishing the cargo once it is consumed, so their need is recurring. For example, if you move a load of bananas, at some point those bananas will all be consumed. When that happens, your customer needs to replenish the supply and ship more. So you are constantly moving the same freight over and over. As such, you only need a handful of customers as a few can provide a lot of business. Also, it doesn’t hurt that it’s a $300 billion dollar a year industry!
Logistics Account Executive (Trainee)
We start you out working as an assistant for an existing broker while you learn the business. After a few months you transition to becoming a freight broker, where you start to build your own book of business by creating relationships with potential customers. Eventually, your income will be driven by your own initiative.
Do you have what it takes?
This is an industry where you get out of it what you put into it. This is not an easy job, but it can be very financially rewarding if you put the work in. If you are coachable and have a strong work ethic, you will be fine. On the other hand, if you are just looking for a paycheck to hold you over until your next job, this isn’t the job for you. How much are you willing to put in?
